Getting started · Chapter 1
What is the SRT Gateway?
The SRT Gateway receives a video stream over the internet (SRT — MPTS / SPTS — or HLS) and converts it into a UDP or HLS output stream, ready to deliver on the local IP network.
It can deliver streams as unicast and multicast, build HLS m3u8, output to an HDMI monitor and offer an in-browser preview of all available programs. It runs on a Raspberry Pi and is designed for continuous operation.
